COMPANY INTRODUCTION

Nihon air Service Co., Ltd.(NAS) was established as a Japanese corporation on June 23,1977. The company's initial bussiness consisted of the shipping of YS-11 at a world-wide scale.

The Company initially capitalized with $960,000(120,000,000 Y) , held over 20 pilots and technical staff. Presently the number of staff will depend on the nature and complexity of the project. The Company president, Captain Shizuo Kikuchi is a former airline captain for the second largest Japanese international air carrier , All Nippon Airways.

The Company has performed as the exclusive agent of Japan Air Systems, Co., Ltd. (JAS), since 1978 to market the YS-11/A aircraft as it is replaced by pure jet equipment in Japan. JAS is the third largest international air carrier in Japan and the largest YS-11/A operator in the world with 21 aircraft remaining in its fleet.

In 1980 when it became independent , Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) assumed the technical responsibilities. Since then NAS has performed as a MHI Principal Agent being able to:

Obtain and sell proprietary information of YS-11 from MHI.
E As a support service, periodically arrange the training of YS-11 pilots.
E Sell and buy parts of YS-11 which are exclusively manufactured by MHI


The principal functions of NAS are :

The delivery flight for YS-11/A aircraft, all over the world.
Sales and purchase of YS-11/A aircraft, and spare parts supply.
Aeronautical consulting services for YS-11/A operators.
Leasing for YS-11/A aircraft.
